Dena Myers, a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor, has been a
practitioner of the Iyengar method of yoga since 1990. In 2000 she began teaching
at various yoga studios throughout San Diego. She has also taught weekly courses
at a few large businesses, focusing on correct posture and ergonomics, as well as helping
heal and prevent common workplace injuries.
She is a very personable, enthusiastic teacher, and enjoys
helping students to learn the multitude of benefits that yoga
brings. Each student is unique and all have special needs and desires. She enjoys
creating an environment to give the entire class something that is not only enriching
during that class, but something they can practice at home and in the office.
Dena started yoga due to complications of sciatica and carpal tunnel
syndrome. She learned how to use yoga poses to not only relieve the pain, but to
actually heal the issues and ensure they never return! She continues to further
educate herself by attending yoga workshops and weekly classes.
